JOB DESCRIPTION: As a part of a team of the Product Management Department, the Technical Specialist is responsible for achieving a clear picture of the global market with a focus on technology.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES:
This role is responsible for product analysis by obtaining information from various sources (internal and external).
Technical Specialist will research, analyze, and test products to assess potential security technologies and services. Responsible for identifying and monitoring competitors, research market conditions or changes in the software security industry that may affect products/business.
Responsibilities:
· Product Research
- Support product management team to with technical information, technology, research, and insight to be used in planning and decision making.
- Identify, together with product managers, issues or specific areas that may need to be investigated.
- Serve as a consultant to internal clients as technical expert.
- It is up to date with new breakthroughs in research techniques and methodologies.
- Perform benchmarking, performance testing, hands-on feature/function testing analysis: products, technologies and services.
- Identifies competitive advantages and / or disadvantages of competing solutions. Highlight strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
- Cooperate with internal customers to identify projects.
- Examine, analyze and understand the competitive environment, market conditions and emerging trends.
· Testing
- Performance and function testing of both competitors and internal products
- Build or modify existing scripts to automate tasks
- Trouble shoot, build, and maintain test bed
• Responsibilities for Quality Assurance (procedures, documents)
- Conceive, propose and build procedures & tools with goal of improving or automating tasks.
- Respond to compliance with the requirements of cost, time, quality, and risks.
- Act as an overall technical resource during product lifecycle by attending meetings, reviewing documentation, providing peer review.
REQUESTS:
- Student or graduate degree
- Experience in the field (or a similar position) - Level Junior / Medium
Specific knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Windows OS'es (including server), prefer some working experience with Unix/Linux OS and knowledge of scripting languages
- A good critical thinking and analytical accuracy and relentless attention to detail
